Membership
Who is eligible for membership?
The club is open for membership to anyone 21 years and older. There is no requirement that members be homebrewers. Club membership consists of new to experienced brewers as well as beer enthusiasts.
What are the benefits of membership?
The main benefit of membership is exclusive access to members-only events. These include Springfest, Oktoberfest, and the Holiday Party. Our monthly General Meetings allow members to socialize with brewers who share the same interests and try new beer styles. The meetings usually feature a speaker from the beer industry who provide information to enhance our homebrewing abilities. ASH holds an annual Oktoberfest Homebrew Competition that allows members the chance to win prizes and medals and at the very least receive some valuable feedback on their brewing efforts. On some occasions, the club holds 'Brew-outs', usually at a local homebrew shop and invites all members to bring their brewing systems and brew beer in the company of their fellow brewers. All members are urged to drop in as it is a great way to pick up new information through a learn-by-doing approach.
How do I become a member?
Memberships cost $30 and are available from any board member at the ASH General Meetings. You may also purchase a membership securely online through PayPal. See the Membership page for more information. They may also be available at local breweries, especially leading up to Oktoberfest.
