From ASH

ASH holds a monthly general meeting for all members and prospective members. We usually cover club business and then have an educational presentation or speaker. All members are encouraged to bring their homebrewed beers to share. If you do not brew then bring an interesting quality beer to share with the group. Also, pizza is available and there is a raffle of various beer items and paraphernalia at every meeting.

Meetings are open to the public. If you are interested in joining the club, have any interest in homebrewing or quality beer in general, come to a future meeting and meet others in the club who share your interests.

All General Meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month unless it is necessary to accommodate a special speaker. However, in lieu of a meeting in December, the membership holds their annual pot-luck Holiday Party. Also, The October meeting is usually an informal gathering at a convenient location to collect memberships sold solely for Oktoberfest.

July Meeting - Agenda

 July 21st 7pm

• Speaker will be Tony Piccini, Owner of Pitcher of Nectar Distributing! This is roughly the 1 year anniversary for Tony's business and he will be giving us a talk on the highs and lows of his experiences to date. Hopefully he will bring some selection of his beers as well. Please be prompt, as he will be the first speaker of the evening!

• There will be a raffle of beer schwag and pizza.
• Monthly Home Brew Competition. A small contest for the best beer, mead or cider at each meeting with a prize going to the winner based on a vote by attending members.

June Meeting - Recap

June 21st

• Uwe Boer of [www.sunupbrewing.com Sunup Brewing Co./Sonora Brewhouse] was the speaker. He gave a lively and informative talk on the changes at his brewery and his experiences in the industry. He also brought a wonderful cask of his First-Wort IPA for members to share.
• A reminder was issued for those members who would like to get on the Bus Tour Pub Crawl set for June 27th.
• Second round entries in the Homebrewer of the Year contest were collected as well.
• The winner of the Homebrew of the month was Stev-o for his vienna lager. Congrats to Stev-o!!!
